Bitrobius Genetics is a UK based genetic medicines company focussed on developing cures for poorly treated genetic diseases by solving the number one problem in gene therapy: the challenge of getting the correct copy of a mutated gene to most of the cells where it is needed. By overcoming this challenge its Gentrafix™ technology will give rise to multiple therapeutic products to treat, and potentially cure, unmet medical needs in genetic diseases. Bitrobius has received seed investment from venture capital firms Science Creates Ventures (SCVC), Future Planet Capital, Synbioven and Catapult Ventures, plus significant grant funding from Innovate UK, the national innovation agency of the United Kingdom.
