Archestra.AI announces a £7.5m seed round led by 20VC for open-source platform that lets enterprises connect AI agents to sensitive data

Archestra.AI is an open-source platform that enables enterprises to connect sensitive corporate data to AI agents securely. It provides in-house AI teams with governed, controllable data access so that business users can run AI across legal, procurement, operations and managerial workflows without the risk of data exfiltration.

Archestra.AI, an open-source platform that enables enterprises to connect sensitive data to AI agents securely, has raised £7.5 million in a seed round led by 20VC, with participation from 20 Product, Olivier Pomel (CEO and co-founder of Datadog), Visible Ventures (with Carolyn Everson, board member at Permira, Coca-Cola and Disney), Tenacity Capital (by AJ Tennant, former VP Sales at Slack and Glean), Kieran Flanagan (CMO, HubSpot), and others. The new investment brings total funding to $13.5 million.

As enterprises move past the first wave of AI pilots, scaling AI agents across different business verticals has become fundamentally an infrastructure problem. The primary bottleneck is the absence of underlying components that can securely and controllably connect AI agents to sensitive corporate data. Archestra.AI addresses this by providing a horizontal platform that enables in-house AI teams to unlock AI-to-data access for business users safely. Built on open-source technology and designed to integrate with all popular AI tools, deployment takes only a few days, dramatically reducing the time and cost of developing AI agents while ensuring protection against data exfiltration.

The platform is currently deployed at four Fortune 500 companies, allowing them to safely integrate AI into legal, managerial, procurement, and operations workflows without the risk of data exfiltration. Since launch, Archestra.AI has grown to more than 3,700 GitHub stars, 57 contributors, and 1,000 community members.

Archestra.AI plans to use the funding to expand its go-to-market and engineering teams, grow its open-source ecosystem, and accelerate enterprise deployments across security-conscious industries.

Founded less than a year ago, the company was built by Grafana Labs alumni. CEO Matvey Kukuy and CTO Ildar Iskhakov are childhood friends and three-time and two-time founders respectively. In 2018, the pair co-founded Amixr, an incident-response platform acquired by Grafana Labs in 2021, which became the foundation of Grafana OnCall and later Grafana IRM. After the acquisition, Matvey co-founded Keep, the open-source AIOps platform that Elastic acquired in May 2025. Joey Orlando, a Canada-based former Grafana engineering leader, completes the founding team.

Until now, AI teams had to choose between harshly restricting AI agents and building truly agentic systems, thereby exposing the business to enormous risks. Archestra.AI eliminates that compromise. Our platform guarantees 100% protection against data leaks while actually accelerating agent development by simplifying data access, deterministic guardrails, governance, and observability.

Founders fail mostly for two reasons at seed. Either they quit because they lack the grit. Or they lack the ability to build a product. Here we have psychopaths who will not quit. Plus, they are top 0.1% engineers.
