DealFlowAgent raises £570k in funding led by Long Journey for M&A platform for SME firms

DealFlowAgent is a platform that helps advisors and business owners prepare companies for sale, identify potential buyers and complete mergers and acquisitions. It provides tools designed to support deal sourcing and buyer matching for small and mid-sized businesses.

DealFlowAgent, an M&A platform for small and mid-sized businesses, has raised £560,000 in funding led by Long Journey. It provides tools designed to help advisors and business owners prepare companies for sale, identify potential buyers and complete mergers and acquisitions.

The platform is designed for businesses generating between $1.3 million and $40 million in revenue, particularly in essential service sectors across the United Kingdom and United States. These include building services and healthcare categories such as HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, dental clinics, care homes, specialist clinics and beauty spas.

At the centre of DealFlowAgent’s offer is a conversational matchmaking system intended to support the buyer-seller search process in mergers and acquisitions. It is designed to retain knowledge of buyer preferences, deal structures and prior interactions in order to surface relevant acquirers and support the advisory process.

The company said the new capital will be used to scale the platform and expand headcount as it builds out advisory and product functions. DealFlowAgent said it has completed 22 transactions to date and is hiring additional senior M&A advisors, a chief operating officer and a senior full stack engineer.

Founder and chief executive Joe Lewin said the business was shaped by his experience of building and selling a company, which exposed the cost and complexity of traditional M&A processes. Long Journey partner Pascal Levy-Garboua said the sector is experiencing rising succession demand and consolidation activity.

Most business owners have never sold a company before—they wing it, or work with a broker who can’t track what hundreds of buyers actually want. Our conversational AI matchmaking maintains memory of every buyer preference and deal structure, so we can match sellers with the right acquirers, run a competitive process, and deliver more offers to choose from and better terms in less time.

Joe Lewin, Founder & CEO

I've experienced how archaic the M&A process can be - I've acquired 20 companies via my firm Noosa Labs. We are seeing a perfect convergence: millions of retiring owners, surging capital from PE-backed roll-ups, and fragmented industries ripe for consolidation. Joe has the vision and execution to modernise this market, and we are excited to back him.
