GEEIQ raises £5m led by YFM Equity Partners for cross-platform analytics in gaming and virtual worlds

GEEIQ is a gaming and virtual worlds analytics platform used by brands to measure performance across platforms, creators and formats. The platform combines cross-platform data with category expertise to help marketers understand what is working across gaming and virtual worlds.

GEEIQ, a gaming and virtual worlds analytics startup, has raised £5 million in funding led by YFM Equity Partners, with participation from GFR, Haymarket and existing angel investors. The raise builds on YFM's earlier backing and marks a new stage in GEEIQ's growth as an independent measurement platform for gaming and virtual worlds.

Operating across mobile-first and creator-led platforms, GEEIQ provides brands with a way to measure performance across gaming and virtual worlds using comparable cross-platform data. The platform combines proprietary data with category expertise to help marketers understand performance across platforms, creators and formats rather than relying on reporting within individual virtual worlds.

Global brands using the platform include Walmart, L'Oréal, Gucci, NASCAR and Warner Bros. Discovery across sectors including sports, entertainment, retail, fashion and toys.

The funding will be used to expand AI-driven planning and measurement capabilities, deepen data partnerships with current and emerging platforms, and support expansion into new verticals and international markets. GEEIQ also said the raise marks a wider relaunch for the business, including a new brand identity, website and expanded presence at industry events.

GEEIQ said gaming and virtual worlds have become a larger part of the media and marketing mix as brands look to reach younger audiences in digital environments. The business positions itself as an independent measurement layer as activity spreads across more platforms and formats.
