Installio, the tech-driven heat pump and clean energy installation specialist, today announces it has raised £1.5 million in seed funding to accelerate national rollout. The round is led by Verb Ventures and is oversubscribed by 2X.

Installio streamlines complex heat-pump installations with real-time project transparency, access to the UK’s best installers and tools, and the highest quality assurance. Now one of the fastest-growing specialist installation providers in the UK, Installio is using this funding to expand nationally to meet growing demand from partners and to develop its next-generation installer platform.

Installio is already partnering with energy providers and retailers like E.ON, Aira, and Good Energy, contractors, housebuilders and housing associations to deliver large-scale clean-energy retrofit programmes with consistent standards and full compliance. In 2025, Installio launched 4 new regions in the South of England with revenue growing 40% month on month and installs doubling every 2 months.

Heat-pump deployment is accelerating across the UK, with installations up 56% last year and the Future Homes and Buildings regulation expected to make heat pumps standard from 2026. Research from Cambridge Econometrics shows that rapid deployment could add £4.8 billion to UK GDP and create more than 80,000 full-time jobs by 2030. Heat pumps also reduce exposure to volatile gas prices and cut harmful air pollution; gas boilers are now the biggest source of NOx emissions in central London.

Government programmes are set to channel more than £13 billion into home-energy retrofits, including heat pumps, over the coming years. Analysis from the Centre for Net Zero shows the heat pump subsidy delivers a strong value of return, generating £1.24 in societal benefits for every £1 of net government cost. But installation capacity remains the key constraint. Heat-pump installs are complex, multi-day engineering projects that require specialist design, commissioning and compliance. Poor-quality installations in recent years have contributed to consumer scepticism, making consistent, verifiable quality the defining challenge of the sector.

Installio’s technology-enabled model addresses this bottleneck directly, acting as the delivery partner that ensures clean-energy systems are installed fast, compliantly, and at scale.

For homeowners, our technology ensures a smoother installation, reliable warmth and long lasting efficiency. This important seed funding led by Verb Ventures allows us to expand nationally to meet demand and continue developing the platform that supports our teams on the ground. We are proud to be making home energy work.
Michael May, Co-founder & CEO
We are setting a new standard for clean energy installs. Heat pumps are only as good as the installs behind them, and for too long inconsistent quality has held back adoption and public sentiment. Our technology gives installers the tools to deliver high-quality systems every time - and gives our partners assurance that complex retrofit work will be done right, at scale.

We are delighted to lead this funding round. Installio represents exactly the kind of market infrastructure business we back. The clean-energy transition isn’t just about introducing new technology, it’s about providing the operational capability to deliver thousands of high-quality installs reliably. Creating the perfect juncture between modern technology and hands-on expertise, we believe Installio is well positioned to become one of the UK’s leading clean-energy delivery platforms.
Alex Chikunov, Partner at Verb Ventures
Britain’s clean-heating innovators are essential to our energy security and long-term prosperity, and Installio represents exactly the kind of ambition and quality the sector needs. Heat pumps aren’t just a cleaner way to heat our homes - they are critical national infrastructure. Every unit we install reduces our exposure to volatile global gas markets, strengthens Britain’s energy independence and keeps more value in our own economy. As a longstanding champion of clean heating, it’s inspiring to see a British business delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that will help households across the country enjoy warmer, greener homes.
