Kinfolk, the AI-native HR workforce operations platform, has raised £5 million in a seed round led by AlbionVC, with participation from PROfounders Capital, and existing investors Ascension and Emerge. Prominent angel investors, including Tony Jamous, also participated in the round. This brings Kinfolk’s total funding to date to £6.3 million.
HR and People Operations teams face increasing operational complexity while managing rising employee expectations with shrinking headcounts. According to Kinfolk, outdated HR ticketing systems borrowed from IT have failed to solve this problem, while AI chatbots are too shallow to handle operational workloads, creating friction and turning HR into a bottleneck for productivity, speed and cost as companies scale.
Starting with HR and People Operations, Kinfolk creates a category in Workforce Operations by replacing fragmented tools with a single agentic AI platform. Its AI agents autonomously execute complex employee operations workflows across systems, including drafting documents, updating HRIS records and managing employee lifecycle changes directly within Slack or Microsoft Teams. The shift from manual coordination to autonomous execution allows HR teams to scale operations, maintain control and support growth without adding headcount.
Kinfolk achieved 5x annual recurring revenue growth in 2025. Leading modern teams at Deliveroo, Hudl and RetailNext use Kinfolk to streamline operations, displacing or augmenting traditional IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendeck or Jira. Customers report that Kinfolk autonomously handles up to 80% of Tier 0–1 employee requests, reclaiming approximately 45 days a year for HR teams.
The funds will be used to accelerate development of Kinfolk’s agentic AI platform capabilities and expand its enterprise readiness. It plans to extend beyond core HR workflows to support collaboration with payroll and IT, laying the foundations for a broader Workforce Operations platform while scaling its go-to-market teams to meet demand.
HR teams are stuck in a cycle of manual admin and legacy tools are failing them. They are forced to choose between clunky ticketing systems that employees hate, or basic chatbots that can’t actually get work done. We built Kinfolk to break this cycle. By shifting from manual coordination to autonomous execution, we let HR teams scale their operations and focus on the strategic work that actually drives company growth. We’re excited to give People teams the operating system they deserve, one that actually performs work instead of just managing it.
We believe Kinfolk is set to become the backbone for the next generation of HR and workforce operation teams. Jeet and Kim are exceptional founders and bring deep experience from scaling AI products at Beamery. They have identified a massive opportunity to fix a legacy market dominated by outdated, rigid tools. The feedback from customers is that Kinfolk isn’t just another tool; it’s like adding a new, super-productive member to the team that allows them to focus on what matters most. We are delighted to support them on this journey.
