Kohort, a user acquisition software startup for mobile game studios, has raised $7 million in Series A from The Raine Group. Kohort develops software that helps gaming companies manage advertising campaigns and improve long-term user acquisition performance.
Designed as an operating system for user acquisition, the platform generates campaign strategies and targets across return-on-ad-spend, cost-per-install, and cost-per-engagement models. Integrated directly with advertising networks, the system analyses campaign data and produces daily predictions based on historical performance.
User acquisition remains a complex operational challenge for mobile gaming companies, where teams must interpret large volumes of campaign data and shifting network behaviour. Kohort addresses this by combining forecasting, analytics, and automated reporting to provide consistent insights across teams, including product, live operations, and executives.
Built on approximately $6 billion in historical user acquisition spend data across hundreds of mobile games, the platform delivers campaign-specific predictions with around 95% accuracy. Client-specific models can be trained in under 20 minutes and connect with existing studio data warehouses.
Alongside campaign optimisation, the system includes research tools that analyse trends based on more than $1 billion in annual spend processed through the platform, and reporting tools that generate presentation-ready outputs for internal teams.
We are building agents – not just a Claude wrapper – and the predictions underneath them, to make that possible. User acquisition is one of the most critical and difficult operations for a mobile gaming studio. The best UA teams operate more like high-frequency traders than marketers, and they need agents that act on real context, not vague signals.
Kohort has a clear pathway to become a category-defining platform in UA Agents, and solve the biggest problem in mobile apps today. The Kohort team is lean, AI-native and delivers high quality results at speed. We believe that Kohort’s predictive LTV capabilities and UA optimization technology provide the building blocks for future partnership opportunities, including the potential for a new product around user acquisition financing.
