Konsileo secures a £5m equity round led by Committed Capital for its commercial insurance broking platform

Konsileo is a chartered commercial insurance broker that serves business clients across the United Kingdom. Konsileo combines a proprietary broking platform with a coaching-led structure and reward model designed to give brokers autonomy and support client relationships.

Konsileo, a chartered insurance broking startup, has raised £5 million in equity investment led by long-term shareholder Committed Capital, together with ACF Investors. Konsileo plans to use the funding to support continued growth, including investing in its broking platform and attracting more brokers.

Founded in 2017 as an independent broker, Konsileo focuses on arranging commercial insurance for businesses across the United Kingdom. Konsileo arranges more than £85 million in annual insurance premiums and employs more than 220 people. Konsileo’s central promise is that its brokers will be the happiest, best rewarded and most professional in the industry, with a structure and technology platform designed to let them focus on client relationships and risk advice.

Konsileo’s organisational model replaces traditional line management with coaching, aiming to empower risk professionals to focus on clients rather than internal hierarchy. A flat structure is combined with a reward model that recognises value created from client relationships. Konsileo also invests heavily in training through the Konsileo Academy, which supports brokers’ professional development and skills. This approach is designed to appeal to ambitious brokers who want autonomy and support to build their own client portfolios.

Alongside the organisational model, Konsileo has built its own proprietary broking platform. The platform automates administrative tasks, embeds compliance checks and helps brokers capture better-quality risk information. According to investor commentary, the platform also now incorporates AI to support brokers’ work. The combination of technology and operating model is intended to reduce administrative burden, strengthen compliance and improve the quality of advice delivered to clients.

Konsileo’s strength as an employer has been recognised externally. In The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, Konsileo was named the best medium-sized organisation in financial services. Konsileo was also named Best Insurance Employer (SME) in the 2025 British Insurance Awards and Commercial Lines Broker of the Year at the Insurance Times Awards 2025. Co-founder and CEO John Warburton brings more than 20 years of international insurance and consulting experience from roles at Aviva, Accenture and Allianz, while co-founder and COO Peter Henderson is a technologist and former enterprise software founder.

We’ve always believed that great brokers do their best work when you give them autonomy, equip them properly and support them rather than manage them. Our growth is a testament to what happens when you offer something genuinely different to ambitious brokers who want to build brilliant client relationships. This investment means we can keep attracting great people, investing in our platform and building on the momentum we’ve created as we approach our tenth anniversary. We’re delighted to have the continued support of both Committed Capital and ACF Investors, who understand both our model and our ambitions for the business.

John Warburton, Co-founder & CEO

We are delighted to have completed this round and to deepen our long-standing commitment to Konsileo. John, Peter and the team have built one of the fastest-growing independent brokers in the UK, and they have done it organically, broker by broker, rather than through acquisition. That growth rests on two things that are very hard to replicate: a proprietary broking platform that strips out administration, embeds compliance and is now putting AI to work for brokers, and a culture that consistently attracts the most talented people in the industry. Konsileo is showing what a modern commercial broker looks like, and we look forward to supporting the team through its next phase of growth.

Steven Harris, CEO at Committed Capital

Konsileo continues to bring much-needed innovation to commercial insurance broking, combining smart technology with a model that empowers brokers to deliver a better service for clients. Since our initial investment in 2022, the business has built significant momentum, demonstrating the strength and scalability of its approach. We’re excited to continue supporting John and the team as they enter their next phase of growth.
