Liverpool-based OBT Live has secured over £2.25m in Series A funding to scale its software-enabled services offering, which leverages AI and real-time data to help brands drive customer engagement and loyalty.

The round was led by NPIF II – Praetura Equity Finance, managed by Praetura Ventures as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II, and values the company at over £10m.

OBT Live plans to use the investment to grow its UK team, advance product development, and accelerate adoption across key verticals including media, sport, retail and leisure.

The funding follows a period of strong momentum for the business, which recently launched a hub in Dubai to support expansion into the Middle East.

At the core of its platform is Engage AI, a proprietary system inspired by the gaming industry’s LiveOps model. It enables brands to create contextual experiences - such as challenges and rewards- that keep users engaged and coming back.

By combining this technology with a team of engagement specialists, OBT Live helps clients deliver high-impact digital experiences, even in fast-moving or complex environments.

Securing this investment is a significant milestone for OBT Live. It not only validates our vision but also provides the resources to scale our operations and enhance our service offerings. We’re excited to partner with Praetura Ventures, whose commitment to supporting northern tech businesses aligns perfectly with our growth ambitions.
