Female-founded RTD tequila company Pimentae has raised £1.5m in a funding round led by FIGR Ventures, which focuses on early-stage consumer brands.
The round also saw backing from Revenge Capital, Solo Investments, and entrepreneurs Puneet and Poonam Gupta.
The funding will be used to grow Pimentae’s retail footprint in the UK, strengthen its position in travel retail, and launch into European markets, starting with Germany and the Netherlands.
Pimentae was launched in 2021 by friends Wynter Karo and Alice Parmiter and has gained a loyal customer base for its high-quality tequila drinks. The brand is now available via John Lewis, Waitrose, Ocado, British Airways, The Co-op, hospitality outlets and most recently Picturehouse cinemas.
