Quartz, a London wealth management startup, has raised £2.8 million in pre-seed funding led by Daphni, with participation from Outward VC and K Fund. Angels including Kantox founder Philippe Gelis and former N26 and Kraken CPO Gilles BianRosa also joined the round. The app launches in the UK today on the App Store and Google Play, and is letting in members from its waitlist by invitation.
Wealth management has long forced a choice between personalised advice at a premium price and standardised products with little guidance. Quartz is registered with the FCA as an Account Information Service Provider. Using its own connectors, the app brings a person's pensions, ISAs, savings and investments into one place. It pairs that view with Charlie, an intelligence that knows the user, follows the markets continuously and tells members what matters about their money, when it matters. Members can ask their portfolio questions and get answers back. Quartz does not provide regulated investment advice.
Co-founder and CEO André Silva was previously Head of Global Expansion at Revolut, where he scaled the company across the United States, Latin America and Asia Pacific. He co-founded Quartz in 2025 with CPO Mateus Mesquita Alves, formerly Investment Product Lead at N26. Today the 10-person team works across London, Barcelona and Porto. The platform has been in testing since Q1 2026 and already tracks more than £10 million of members' assets.
From today, members join from the UK waitlist in batches and by invitation. Admissions are deliberately paced so that each new member gets a good experience.
Small differences in how your money works compound into enormous differences in how your life goes and that shouldn't be reserved for a small niche of people. Compounding is the most powerful force in finance and we've assembled a 10 people strong team across London, Barcelona and Porto to get millions of people on the right side of it.
The wealth management industry has always been very good at serving its non-digital native clients, but it isn't equipped for the new generation, whose expectations are entirely different. Quartz is the first team we've seen with both the product instincts and the regulatory foundations to serve them properly. André and Mateus understand these expectations deeply, and they're drawing on their experience scaling two of Europe's biggest B2C fintech successes to build the perfect product for these new users.
