Twin1 AI, an enterprise AI startup, has raised £15 million in a seed round co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners, Tribeca Venture Partners and Aramco Ventures, launching from stealth alongside the announcement. Founded in 2025 by Lewis Z. Liu, Tom Cahn, Huiting Liu and Jonathan Budd, Twin1 builds a coordination and trust layer for enterprise AI that pairs every professional with a digital twin.
Each twin is a continuously evolving model of one person's knowledge, context and judgment, grounded in their emails, meetings, documents and workplace systems, and able to answer questions and act on their behalf. Twins operate where professionals already work, across Slack, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive and SharePoint, and supply the user's own AI agents with deeper context and know-how. Six interlocking layers of rules-based and AI-based controls govern peer-to-peer and peer-to-AI interactions, combining enterprise policies, inherited permissions and human approval so information is shared only when authorised. Connecting individual twins, the Twin Network lets them identify the right people, gather permission-aware knowledge and coordinate work across an organisation without overriding the control of the humans they represent, while an enterprise MCP server gives AI agents and enterprise tools a secure interface to that governed context. Deployment options span SaaS, single-tenant and private cloud, keeping data, proprietary knowledge and governance policies under the enterprise's control and reducing dependence on any single model or infrastructure provider.
The platform has been deployed with partners across legal, financial services and energy for over a year, with customers reporting that it automates 30-50% of the communications work done by knowledge workers. Customers include law firms Linklaters, Orrick and Dechert, financial institutions such as Customers Bank, and energy companies such as Aegis Energy. The round also drew several investors who backed Eigen Technologies, the founders' previous venture.
Funding will be used to expand teams in San Mateo, CA and London, UK, invest in go-to-market efforts, and further develop the core technology.
