TidalSense secures £14m in funding from VCs to roll out AI-driven breath test for lung disease
TidalSense is a respiratory diagnostics business in Cambridge that has developed N-Tidal Diagnose, a handheld device and software combination which records a patient breathing normally for 75 seconds and applies AI models to detect chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Intended for use in primary and community care by any trained healthcare professional, N-Tidal Diagnose removes the need for the forced exhalation and specialist supervision that conventional lung function testing requires.

OXcan develops blood-based liquid biopsy tests using proteomics and AI to detect lung cancer at earlier stages, enabling minimally invasive screening designed to improve outcomes and reduce pressure on healthcare systems.
