OLIX unlocks £240m Series B led by Fundomo to develop specialised AI inference chips for each stage of token production

OLIX designs custom silicon and optical interconnect for AI inference, using a specialised chip for each stage of token production rather than running every stage on the same general purpose chip. The X-1 platform unrolls models across a large number of chips so that each chip handles a single part of the model, targeting lower cost and latency for the providers running frontier AI models.
