Anzen, a pioneering climate tech startup, has announced the successful closure of its £1.1 million pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by Green Angel Ventures and Desai Ventures, with significant contributions from Sustainable Ventures, Colbridge Ventures, OnePlanetCapital, and experienced energy industry investors. Carbon13, a leading climate venture builder, provided early backing, recognising Anzen's potential to address the pressing issue of how to decarbonise home heating in the UK.
Anzen's innovative solution, the Anzen Climate Wall, is the world's first plug-and-play solid-state heat pump. Utilising advanced thermoelectric technology, it offers heating, cooling, and ventilation in a single device, without the need for refrigerants, outdoor units, or complex installations. Designed for rapid deployment, the system can be installed in under a day, making it ideal for the UK's 12.5 million homes which are unsuitable for traditional heat pumps because of space, access and other constraints.
The funds raised will accelerate Anzen's pilot deployments with housing providers and utilities, and will support the development of the initial manufacturing programme ahead of a broader commercial rollout in 2026.
