CodeWords lands a £6.6m seed round led by Visionaries for AI agent that build and run business workflows automatically

CodeWords builds software that creates and runs automated workflows for businesses without requiring technical setup. The platform learns how a business operates and carries out routine tasks across connected tools for teams, agencies and operators.

CodeWords, a platform that builds and runs automated workflows for businesses, has raised £6.6 million in a seed round led by Visionaries, with participation from firstminute capital, Sequel, and Illusian. The funding will be used to expand CodeWords' go-to-market and engineering functions.

At the core of the platform is Cody, an AI agent that learns how a business operates by understanding its tools, goals, and patterns, then suggests and builds automations that run automatically. These workflows operate across integrations and messaging tools, handling tasks such as connecting systems, managing documents, generating content, and publishing outputs without requiring technical setup or maintenance.

Designed for non-technical teams, agencies, and operators, the platform removes the need for IT involvement in building and maintaining workflows. One finance team automated deal flow monitoring by connecting Dropbox to Monday.com and sending documents for signature, while a content agency used Cody to source content, draft posts, send them for approval via WhatsApp, and publish automatically. Another agency deployed multiple agents to deliver lead generation services. Cody already runs 500,000 workflows a month.

CodeWords was developed following a pivot from Agemo, an AI research lab focused on reasoning through code. After contributing to the ARC-AGI benchmark, the founders shifted focus to building a product that could operate reliably for businesses without technical expertise. Within months of the pivot, CodeWords entered beta.

Alongside the funding, CodeWords is launching new capabilities including contextual memory, which enables Cody to learn from past activity, WhatsApp support to interact with users through existing channels, and task-specific modes that adapt how the agent plans and executes workflows.

The best operators don't wait to be asked. We built Cody on the same principle — an agent that learns about your business, sees what needs doing, and delivers outcomes.

Aymeric Zhuo, Co-founder & CEO

We want users to feel like they're working with an agent that already knows their business. Cody learns continuously — so instead of starting from scratch every time, it's already thinking about what you need next.

Osman Ramadan, Co-founder

Most automation tools promise simplicity but still require technical thinking underneath. CodeWords is one of the first products we've seen where that truly disappears — you describe the task, and Cody runs it. What impressed us just as much is the team's speed and conviction: Aymeric and Osman moved from research to a working product in a matter of months. That combination is very rare and hugely exciting.
