Dataline Labs, a London-based data analysis startup that delivers strategic insights across enterprise divisions, has raised Β£750,000 in pre-seed funding led by Haatch Ventures, with participation from the British Business Bank. The business provides tools that allow organisations to access and interpret business data without relying on technical teams.
Founded by CEO Evan Shapiro and CTO Chris Lawson, Dataline Labs addresses the challenge of business data being spread across disconnected systems, spreadsheets and legacy software. Its approach transforms fragmented data sources into datasets that can be queried in plain English, enabling teams to extract insights without months of engineering work or specialist expertise.
Following the raise, Dataline Labs has been selected for the Ministry of Defenceβs Digital Supply Chain Hub Defence Testbed Accelerator. Through the programme, it will work with defence manufacturers including Babcock, Thales and Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land to address data challenges across UK defence supply chains.
The new capital will be used to expand the team, roll out its MIRA AI platform to enterprise clients, and deliver its work with the Ministry of Defence. The company has already delivered projects across sectors including smart buildings, asset management, manufacturing, business media and ESG reporting.
