ETN, a live tech and venture news show, raises £1.2 million in a seed round led by Powerhouse Capital, with participation from Axel Springer SE, LadBible founder Arian Kalantari, YouTube creator Caspar Lee, and angel investors from OpenAI and DeepMind. The London-based newsroom broadcasts live to a European audience of founders, investors and operators, and uses the round to scale from two broadcasts a week to five and to launch a new studio in London.
Founded in October 2025 by Luke Knight and Ronan Chambers, the newsroom has reached nearly £1 million in ARR and has hired four ex-TBPN content operators alongside the Head of Video Production from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Guests have ranged from Synthesia CEO Victor Riparbelli to publicly traded C-Suite executives including Roman Chernin of Nebius and the CFO of Legora on their $550m raise at a $5.6B valuation, the UK's AI Minister Kanishka Narayan MP, and partners from Sequoia, Lightspeed, a16z, General Catalyst and Index Ventures. Knight and Chambers have also broadcasted on location across Europe, filming in the ancient ruins of Athens, on Lake Como and inside the Louvre in Paris.
Since launch, the show runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00-14:00 GMT, with the hosts discussing the day's tech and venture news for an hour, followed by two hours of back-to-back 15-minute guest interviews covering funding news, executive moves and product launches. From 27 July 2026 the format moves daily, streaming 12:00-15:00 BST / GMT, Monday to Friday, making ETN Europe's first daily live tech news show. The daily format is unveiled live at 12:00pm BST on X, YouTube and LinkedIn, with an opening week line-up including TechCrunch journalist Dominic Midori-Davis, Powerhouse Capital co-founders and managing partners Salim Mitha and Ian Doody, Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner, Synthesia co-founder and CEO Victor Riparbelli, YouTube creator Caspar Lee and Sequoia partner George Robson.
If we can have a Fox News or a CNN, a BBC or a Bloomberg TV, why can't Europe have its own live founder and investor-led news show, especially at a time when technology and European founders are reshaping every aspect of our global economy? Europe deserves a technology news show that moves at the pace its founders, operators and venture capitalists move at.
At Powerhouse, we back tech-driven digital media platforms powered by data that scale via network effects. What stands out about ETN is how it is tapping into the growing creator economy and servicing an unmet need to provide live news, in-depth reporting & storytelling for the European tech community. ETN has experienced significant growth by leveraging digital distribution platforms, clips and shorts to scale and build direct relationships with audiences and partners. In a short period of time, the team has shown a strong instinct for where venture and technology audiences are paying attention, and we're excited to support them as they build a data-driven, digital-first media platform for the growing European tech ecosystem.
ETN is building the social permission to be ambitious. It's the network for the optimists, and it will shape Europe's tech narrative on the global stage.
