HIVED has raised £30m in Series B funding to accelerate its UK rollout, grow its engineering and data team, and scale development of its proprietary logistics intelligence platform, HIVEDmind. The investment supports the company’s nationwide expansion as it builds an AI-powered, customer-centric and all-electric parcel delivery network.
The UK has the third-largest ecommerce market in the world, after China and the US, accounting for around 10% of GDP. While incumbent logistics firms are retrofitting legacy systems to adapt, HIVED has built its parcel delivery infrastructure specifically for ecommerce from the ground up. Its HIVEDmind platform uses AI, real-time data and modern system architecture to connect retailers, warehouses, drivers and end customers through a fully synchronised end-to-end network.
Since its seed round in 2021 and Series A in 2023, HIVED has delivered over 6.5 million parcels across Greater London for customers including John Lewis, Nespresso, Uniqlo and Zara, achieving 99% on-time delivery. The company has grown to more than 120 people, with 20% of employees having joined as drivers. The new capital will support expansion into multiple UK cities and further development of its proprietary models.
HIVED’s real-time tracking and delivery intelligence has cut “Where Is My Order” (WISMO) enquiries by more than 90% compared to other carriers, while its claims rate for lost or damaged items is over 10 times better than industry standards. As a result, the company consistently achieves customer satisfaction scores above 90%, in contrast to the 32% typical across the sector.
The round was led by NordicNinja, with participation from Planet A, Wex Venture Capital, Marunouchi Innovation Partners, Elemental Impact, Yamato Holdings, Future Back Ventures by Bain and Co, and Rocketship VC.
