Humanoid, a UK-based AI and robotics company building industrial humanoid robots, has raised a £114 million Series A at a £1 billion post-money valuation, led by Prime Movers Lab, with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital and Aglaé Ventures. The round brings total funding to date to over £200 million and makes Humanoid Europe's first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn, two years after its founding.
Combining proprietary robotics hardware with its own AI brain, KinetIQ, a four-layer framework, Humanoid's vertically integrated robots can understand, reason and execute complex physical tasks in real industrial environments. With its wheel-based robots, Humanoid aims to address global labour shortages across manufacturing, logistics and other critical sectors, deploying machines that work safely alongside people. Rather than remaining a research experiment, the technology is positioned as a deployable industrial tool that solves real operational problems for customers.
Partnerships already span Fortune 500 companies including SAP, NVIDIA, Bosch and Siemens. Humanoid recently signed the industry's largest publicly announced commercial agreement, with Schaeffler, for the large-scale deployment of thousands of humanoid robots in manufacturing environments. Bosch, through Robert Bosch Robotics GmbH, is acting as Humanoid's contract manufacturing partner while providing strategic consulting and technical expertise in hardware design, production and supply chain.
Founded by Artem Sokolov in 2024, Humanoid brings together more than 250 engineers, researchers and innovators from top global technology companies, with offices in London, Boston, Vancouver and San Diego.
The funding will support development and launch of Humanoid's next-generation humanoid robotics platform, long-term commercial deployments at customer facilities across logistics, manufacturing and retail beginning with a roll-out of Beta version robots in Q4 2026, the start of mass manufacturing of wheel-based humanoid robots, and continued development of the KinetIQ AI platform on the path toward a general-purpose industrial robot.
