Nscale, a London-based hyperscaler engineered for AI, has raised £120m in a Series A round led by Sandton Capital Partners, with participation from Kestrel 0x1, Blue Sky Capital Managers, and Florence Capital. Founded by Joshua Payne, Nscale develops AI-ready data centres, GPU infrastructure, and high-performance AI cloud services. Its full-stack AI private cloud platform supports the entire generative AI lifecycle with cutting-edge technologies, including Kubernetes-native services, advanced inferencing options, and liquid-cooled superclusters.
Since May 2024, Nscale has grown its data centre pipeline from 300MW to 1.3GW, with 120MW planned for 2025. The company will use the funding to scale operations, launch its public AI cloud in Q1 2025, and meet soaring global demand for AI infrastructure. Notable collaborations include Open Innovation AI in MENA, deploying 30,000 GPUs over three years.
