Nscale unlocks £580m financing to support AI infrastructure buildout in Norway

Nscale builds and operates AI infrastructure spanning energy, data centres, GPU compute and software. The platform is designed for AI companies, enterprises and governments training, deploying and scaling AI systems from cloud to edge environments.

Nscale has secured £580 million in financing committed by ABN AMRO, DNB, Eksfin, Nordea and SEB. The funding will support the continued development of Nscale’s AI data centre campus in Narvik, Norway, which Nscale describes as the largest AI infrastructure investment in Norway.

Alongside the committed financing, the agreement includes an additional $790 million uncommitted accordion feature to fund a further 115MW expansion at the Narvik AI data centre. The financing follows Nscale’s recently signed agreement linked to the Narvik campus project.

Founded by Josh Payne, Nscale builds and operates infrastructure spanning energy, data centres, GPU compute and software for AI deployment and training workloads. The platform is designed for AI companies, enterprises and governments requiring large-scale compute capacity across cloud and edge environments.

Recent financing activity for Nscale includes a $2 billion Series C funding round in March 2026 led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries, alongside a $1.4 billion Delayed Draw Term Loan completed in February 2026.

ABN AMRO Bank N.V., DNB Bank ASA and Nordea Bank Abp, filial i Norge acted as Bookrunners and together with Export Finance Norway and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) as Mandated Lead Arrangers.

Together, these developments position Nscale at the forefront of global AI infrastructure, delivering scalable, high-performance capacity to meet rapidly growing demand for our services.
