Nscale, a AI infrastructure hyperscaler startup, has raised £1.5 billion in Series C from led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries, with participation from Astra Capital Management, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, Lenovo, Linden Advisors, Nokia, NVIDIA, and Point72. The round values Nscale at $14.6 billion and will support its acceleration of AI infrastructure deployments globally.
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping industries, economies and national strategies, while accelerated computing platforms provide the infrastructure required to run these systems. Nscale develops vertically integrated AI infrastructure covering GPU compute, networking, data services and orchestration software, designed to support production-scale AI deployments. The new funding will accelerate Nscale’s development of AI infrastructure across Europe, North America, and Asia.
The capital will deepen Nscale’s infrastructure footprint, expand its engineering and operations teams, and strengthen the platform to support production-grade AI deployments at scale.
Alongside the funding, Sheryl Sandberg, Susan Decker, and Nick Clegg have joined the Nscale Board of Directors. They join existing board members Josh Payne, Rael Nurick, Jacob Leschly, and Øyvind Eriksen.
Nscale has also reached an agreement with Aker to roll the Aker Nscale joint venture, announced in July 2025, fully into Nscale. Aker will remain a leading shareholder in Nscale and its CEO Øyvind Eriksen will continue to serve on the Nscale Board.
