Opply, an agentic operating system for consumer packaged goods (CPG), has raised £5.5 million in seed funding. The round is led by Chalfen Ventures, with participation from Index Ventures, Anthemis, Entrepreneurs First, In This Together and Ventures Together, and follows a 15-fold increase in gross revenue over the past 12 months.
Opply is capitalising on the rapid rise of vertical AI, building specialised AI agents on top of proprietary data and an extensive supplier network to manage complex CPG operations. The platform goes beyond AI-driven analysis to actively execute and finance transactions, running sourcing, procurement, purchase orders, supplier payments and compliance, as well as broader supply chain processes. By handling tasks such as managing stock levels, coordinating production and ensuring deliveries run smoothly, Opply aims to reduce costs, accelerate growth and free CPG brands to focus on product innovation, profitability and expansion.
The funding comes against the backdrop of a rapidly expanding global CPG market. Allied Market Research forecasts that the global consumer packaged goods market will reach $18.9 trillion by 2031. Research from the Consumer Brands Association and PwC reports that the sector contributes $2.5 trillion to US GDP and supports 22.3 million US jobs, making it the largest manufacturing sector by employment. Against this context, Opply positions its technology as an intelligent agentic operating system for the multi-trillion-dollar global CPG industry.
Founded in London by Helen Murphy and Martin Postel, Opply is redefining how CPG brands run operations by turning fragmented, manual processes into an intelligent engine for growth. Customers including UK drinks innovator Agua de Madre and US kombucha brand RMBR report outcomes such as cost reductions of 40% and a 12-fold return on investment in 12 months. Since launching Chicago operations in 2025, Opply's US business has grown 30-fold in 12 months, driven by demand from brands using AI to reduce costs, streamline operations and scale.
Opply plans to use the new funding to build on its expansion in the United Kingdom and United States, extend its agentic AI capabilities across sourcing, forecasting and logistics, and bring its operating model to more CPG businesses, from emerging brands to major global players.
It's a beautiful thing to see a team I backed at the start exceed my very high expectations. Opply has all the ingredients to become a globally significant business: custom AIs that together have proven to make customer operations work end to end; as a result, exceptional growth; and a huge market opportunity in front of it. Its rapid expansion across both the UK and US demonstrates the strength of demand for technology that fundamentally changes how CPG businesses operate and scale. I believe Opply has the potential to become the operational backbone of a multi-trillion-dollar global industry, unlocking enormous value for businesses of every size.
CPG supply chains have remained fragmented and manual for far too long. By taking operational complexity out of the equation, we give ambitious brands the headroom to grow faster, invest in innovation and reach more customers. Our AI technology doesn't just tell brands what needs to be done. It does the work, managing everything from sourcing and procurement to payments and supply chains. This latest funding gives us the opportunity to bring that model to many more businesses, from ambitious emerging brands to major global players.
AI has the potential to accelerate growth and transform operations across the CPG industry. Our vision is a world where specialized AI agents take on most of the operational workload, from sourcing to forecasting to logistics, working alongside teams rather than replacing their judgment. We're rapidly building towards that, and the results our customers are already seeing show what's possible.
