Orchestra, a London startup building an agentic control plane for enterprise data and AI workflows, has raised £2.4 million in a seed round led by Differential Ventures. That takes total funding to £3.4 million and lands alongside the formal launch of the platform, after a year in which usage grew more than 10x. Moonfire led an earlier pre-seed and returned for the seed, with additional backing from Breakers, Tokyo Black and Contour Venture Partners.
AI has created unprecedented demand for working with data, but the infrastructure supporting that shift is complex and costly, leaving data teams acting as a bottleneck rather than an enabler. Orchestra connects a company's existing data infrastructure into a context-aware control plane anyone can use to automate data and AI workflows. Engineers build through an interface or with a few lines of code, then monitor everything from the same place, with end-to-end visibility that exposes the dependencies behind each workflow. A serverless engine orchestrates millions of tasks and agents in parallel, removing the need to maintain large clusters. More than 100 core integrations mean organisations can adopt the platform without replacing the technology they already use, in weeks rather than years.
Orchestra Runtime provides a secure environment for operating AI agents, each running in isolation with controlled access to the resources its assignment needs, and can be used to create pipelines, investigate production incidents and automate failure triage. Runtime works with the Context Layer, which organises information about an enterprise's systems and workflows so agents can complete data engineering tasks accurately without opening the wider environment. A model-agnostic design lets companies pick the models that suit them while using fewer tokens.
Customers have cut pipeline runtime costs by up to 80 percent and turned migrations that once took years into projects completed in a couple of months. Pipeline development time falls by up to 95 percent, and hundreds of failure investigations are automated every day. Experian is among the organisations using the platform. The capital will expand engineering and go-to-market teams in London, advance product development and support growth across the United States and Europe.
AI is creating enormous demand across the enterprise, but data and now AI teams are still managing infrastructure that was never designed to support it. Orchestra gives them the control they need to move beyond being a service desk and build the platform teams use to drive AI adoption across the business.
