Perceptic, an AI operating system for drug discovery and development, has raised £9 million in a seed round led by Accel with participation from Air Street Capital and Elder Gull. Built by the team behind Palantir's AIP product and Life Sciences practice, the platform is already deployed across multiple top-10 pharma companies, biotechs, and contract research organisations, including CSL.
Drug development remains one of the most complex and labour-intensive processes in any industry. Decades of proprietary data, decisions, and institutional knowledge are locked inside systems that were never designed to work together. Despite advances in frontier research, most AI transformation efforts in pharma have focused on improving isolated workflows, leaving critical information fragmented across teams and organisations.
Perceptic has built a mission control layer for the full drug development lifecycle. The platform unifies asset scouting, scientific evaluation, and clinical data foundations on a shared intelligence layer — one system where every insight compounds and every decision draws on the full picture. Live deployments have already reduced scientific due diligence from weeks to hours, scaled asset screening from hundreds per week to thousands in minutes, and generated a 50-fold increase in clinical data extractions.
The founding team, Tilman Flock, Martin Copes, and Zaki Trache envisioned and shipped Palantir's AIP product and helped shape its Life Sciences practice, bringing a decade of experience deploying production AI inside some of the world's most complex enterprise environments.
Too many critical decisions in drug development are still made without a complete view of the evidence. For years, the industry has tried to improve each part of the process separately, but that creates a linear process where insight dies at every handoff. The real shift comes from connecting data, context, and decision-making so every insight compounds.
Perceptic is the first solution that follows the drug, rather than the department. The founders uniquely combine experience deploying AI at scale with deep domain expertise in life sciences. We are thrilled to partner with them in building the infrastructure that will define the next decade of drug discovery and design.
Pharma's next R&D leap will not come from a thousand better point tools or frontier models alone. It comes from the operating system that connects data, decisions, and context across a 15-year process so every decision compounds on the last. The team's experience deploying production AI into the hardest enterprise environments has already earned them the trust of CSL and top-10 pharma companies before emerging from stealth.
