Undecimal Bio lands a £14m seed round led by 4BIO Capital and IQ Capital to unlock targeted delivery of RNA drugs beyond the liver

Undecimal Bio is a platform biotechnology company developing DELiveri, an AI-enabled synthetic biology platform for targeted delivery of siRNA therapeutics. DELiveri identifies conjugates that direct RNA medicines to defined cell types beyond the liver, with an initial focus on renovascular disease.

Undecimal Bio, a biotech startup advancing targeted delivery of siRNA therapeutics, has raised an oversubscribed £14 million seed investment. The round is co-led by 4BIO Capital and IQ Capital, with participation from Verve Ventures, Harel Tech, Entree Capital, Kerna Ventures and Saras Capital. Spin-out of Eleven Therapeutics, Undecimal Bio plans to use the funding to expand DELiveri, its AI-enabled platform for identifying conjugates that can direct RNA medicines to defined cell types beyond the liver.

RNA interference has changed treatment options for liver-expressed diseases, yet reaching tissues outside the liver remains a key obstacle limiting broader application of siRNA therapeutics. DELiveri addresses this challenge by screening massive-scale combinatorial libraries of candidate ligands and converting cells to act as molecular radars that detect productive delivery at single molecule resolution. High throughput data from these screens is analysed by agentic AI to decode structure-activity relationships and identify conjugates capable of carrying siRNA into target cells.

Initial application of the DELiveri platform focuses on renovascular diseases, which Undecimal Bio notes present significant unmet clinical need. Current treatments for these indications largely address symptoms rather than underlying aetiological factors. Targeted siRNA delivery aims to apply the precision of genetic medicines to these conditions, enabling durable, target-specific silencing of disease-driving pathways.

Undecimal Bio operates laboratories at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute and maintains operations in Tel Aviv, Israel and Cambridge, United Kingdom. The Board of Directors includes representatives of 4BIO Capital, IQ Capital and Harel Technologies, alongside co-founders Yaniv Erlich and Shaul Ilan, with Verve Ventures joining as a board observer. Undecimal Bio has also entered several research collaborations with large pharmaceutical companies, which remain undisclosed.

Funding will support further development of the DELiveri platform, progress Undecimal Bio's renovascular programmes and support expansion of the team at its Cambridge laboratories.

The hard problem in RNAi was never the silencing, it was getting the molecule to the right cell, Our in-vivo validated DELiveri platform can screen large chemical spaces at an unprecedented pace, generating massive data for our legions of AI agents to decipher the structure-activity relationship and score the best candidates. We are excited to bring these advances to develop the next generation of siRNA therapeutics for the benefit of patients.
