Isometric, a startup that uses AI agents to automate industrial certification, has raised £30 million in a Series A led by AVP, formerly AXA Venture Partners. The round includes participation from existing institutional investors Plural and Lowercarbon Capital, alongside personal investments from Kleiner Perkins chairman John Doerr and former Managing Director of Summit Partners Walter Kortschak. Funding will be used to deepen Isometric's AI certification technology and expand its platform across all industrial certification markets.
AI, automation, and decarbonisation are driving the largest industrial buildout in decades, yet every project must be certified against regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards before it can go live, receive a permit, or attract investment. Certification has historically been a manual process taking months. Certify, Isometric's platform, uses AI agents to ingest and cross-check the millions of data points behind a claim - from sensor readings and satellite data to supply chain records and lab results - flagging discrepancies and surfacing cases that need expert judgment. Where third-party auditors would previously spot-check a sample of evidence and infer the rest, Certify replaces partial checks with complete coverage, working alongside human verifiers around the clock.
Certification today is fragmented across dozens of registries and certifiers, from legacy testing-and-inspection giants to single-sector standards bodies, each with its own methods, formats, and quality standards. Isometric is consolidating these onto a single platform, held to a single standard, with all certificates published on a single public registry.
Founded in 2022, Isometric proved its technology in the carbon removal industry, where it is now the largest certification company globally by contracted volume, having been contracted to certify over 16 million tonnes to date. Customers include Microsoft, Anglo American, JPMorganChase, and Boeing. The platform supports more than 200 industrial projects and was the first carbon removal certifier to be accredited by ICVCM, ICROA, and CORSIA. Isometric employs the largest team of carbon removal scientists and engineers of any certifier.
Founder and CEO Eamon Jubbawy previously co-founded Onfido, an AI-powered identity certification company that verified over one billion identities and caught 25 million fraudsters prior to its acquisition by Entrust for $650 million. He founded Isometric to apply the same rigour and speed to environmental and industrial certification. The round gives Isometric the strongest balance sheet of any certifier in carbon markets.
For decades the certification industry faced a tradeoff between speed and rigor. Do it fast or do it right. With Isometric, industrial companies can get both. AI agents are here, and they're making the certification process instant and invisible, unleashing the potential of the industrial economy.
Isometric is exactly the kind of frontier AI success story we want to see built and scaled in the UK - turning world-leading ideas into global businesses that attract top international investment. This investment shows how, with the right support to access talent and scale, Britain can be the best place in the world to grow the next generation of world-changing companies.
Certification has always forced a choice between speed and rigor. Isometric has eliminated that compromise. Eamon and the team have built a genuinely category-defining company, and their agentic AI platform has the potential to transform certification across the industrial economy. We're thrilled to partner with them as they scale that vision.
