Ulla has secured Β£500k in private investment to unveil Ulla, an AI-powered assistant designed to revolutionise meeting management. The innovative tool transforms how businesses in law, government, accounting, and corporate services manage meetings, enhancing productivity while prioritising data security with a privacy-first approach.

The London-based company, co-founded by AI and machine learning expert Arkadiy Ukolov, has developed Ulla to transcribe meetings, identify speakers, and generate customised, industry-specific summaries β€” all while prioritising data privacy and confidentiality.

Based on the updated data from the Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025, nearly 43 per cent of businesses and 30 per cent of charities experienced a cybersecurity breach or attack in the past year, meaning data breaches remain a prevalent threat. This highlights the vulnerabilities many organisations face in securing their data, and the critical need for robust data security.

Earlier this year, LinkedIn faced a class-action lawsuit after it was revealed that private messages and personal data had been quietly used to train AI models β€” without users’ informed consent. Even when individuals opted out, the data had already been fed into the system. The incident sparked widespread concern over the irreversible nature of AI data usage and highlighted that once your data is in, it’s nearly impossible to get it out. The leakage is permanent β€” and invisible.

For professionals in law, government, and regulated sectors, the implications of data leakage are catastrophic. Sensitive meeting discussions, client strategies, or confidential documents could all be at risk if processed by generic AI tools that send data to third-party servers.

However, Ulla gives users full control over their data β€” from storage and processing to access. Whether hosted on Ulla Cloud, private servers, or integrated into your own infrastructure, no third-party AI providers are ever involved. Unlike mainstream tools, Ulla operates independently of services like OpenAI, ensuring your most sensitive information never leaves your secure environment.

Built to handle the demands of highly regulated sectors, Ulla securely transcribes meetings, identifies speakers, and generates structured, professional summaries β€” without compromising a single byte of data privacy.

Ulla also streamlines post-meeting productivity through its chatbot feature, allowing users to query meeting histories with human-like questions such as, β€œWhen did we discuss this matter?” or β€œWhat did this client ask in the last meeting?”. Additionally, Ulla enhances collaboration with multilingual recognition and speaker identification, ensuring meeting content is accessible across industries.

Already in use by leading firms such as Sterling Law, OpenWeather, and Schoolgate Accounting Services, Ulla helps securely manage meeting data and improve operational efficiency.

The challenge of balancing productivity with privacy has never been greater, especially for professionals in law, government, and accounting. Ulla was created to give these professionals the power of cutting-edge AI while ensuring their most sensitive data remains under their control. Unlike traditional AI solutions, which rely on third-party services, Ulla processes everything locally, empowering users to confidently manage their meeting data without compromising security. Our mission is simple β€” to provide a privacy-first solution that not only enhances operational efficiency but also ensures complete data confidentiality at every step.
